Prison Service Censured following Legionella Death

Following the death of an inmate from Legionnaire’s Disease the Nothern Ireland Prison Service (NIPS) has been censured.  The prisoner died in hospital on the 7th of February 2007 10 days after having been transferred from the HMP Magilligan in Limavady, Co. Derry.  He had been transferred from the Health Care Unit of the prison.
